How does a project with Wandelwerk Tech work?

Accepted Answer

In three steps. First, we spend half a day at your business. Afterwards, you receive a written assessment showing where time is being lost and which improvements are worthwhile. We then build the part with the greatest impact. After that, we take care of ongoing operations and expand the solution as your needs change. After each step, you decide whether to continue.

We have worked with an agency before. It did not go well.

We hear this often, and the stories are usually similar: months without a visible result, invoices with no clear basis, changing contacts and, in the end, something nobody uses.

That is why we work differently. You start with half a day, not with a full project contract. You receive fixed prices instead of time sheets. In most cases, you see something usable within a few weeks, not after half a year. And you have the same two contacts throughout.

Tell us what went wrong last time. We will listen. It often teaches us more about your business than any requirements list.

Which companies are a good fit for Wandelwerk Tech?

Accepted Answer

It is less about the industry and more about the situation. We are a good fit when many processes are running at the same time, when one person's knowledge is holding everything together, when too much time passes between an enquiry and a quote, or when you are facing an expensive decision and need reliable figures.

By industry, we have mainly worked with trades and construction, property management, logistics, workshops, law firms and care services. What these businesses have in common is the volume of processes they handle.

What makes your way of working different from a traditional agency?

You have dedicated contacts, clearly agreed responsibilities and regular insight into development progress. We involve the people who will use the solution and, wherever possible, start with a manageable area that delivers practical value early.

Where is your development team based?

Accepted Answer

In India. Seven dedicated team members whom we have worked with for years and know personally. We say this openly because it is part of what makes our pricing possible. What should you notice because of it? Nothing.

Your contacts are us, here in Erding near Munich. We write the requirements, review what is delivered and take responsibility for the result. We do not rent out developers. We take responsibility for an outcome.

Question 6

How do you handle data protection and access rights?

Accepted Answer

Your data is hosted on servers in Germany. We provide a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR that defines who may access what.

Because our development team is based in India, it is explicitly named as a sub-processor and covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. For maintenance and troubleshooting, we use test data rather than your live data wherever possible.

If your work is subject to professional confidentiality, for example as a law firm, tax advisory practice or care provider, we also clarify the requirements of Section 203 of the German Criminal Code and any rules set by your professional body. We address this before the project starts, not afterwards.

Question 7

Who owns the software that is developed?

Accepted Answer

You do. You receive the exclusive rights of use to everything created for you, and this is stated in the contract. On request, we also hand over the source code and give you your own access to the project archive.

This matters because it answers the question behind the question: what happens if we stop working together? You keep everything and can continue with any other provider. We want clients to stay because the work is good, not because they are locked in.

Do you work with existing systems?

Accepted Answer

Almost always. Your ERP system, accounting software and time tracking stay where they are. We rarely replace everything. We usually add what is missing.

Most often, the problem is not a missing system, but the gap between two existing ones. That is where we remove duplicate data entry.

What does working with you cost?

Accepted Answer

After the first conversation, you receive a transparent estimate of the scope and cost. Before each phase begins, the services, responsibilities and price are agreed clearly.

Do you also visit us in person?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and before we build anything. The best way to understand a process is to stand beside it and see it in action.

We can reach businesses in the Erding and Munich area quickly. We also travel outside the region and discuss any travel arrangements in advance.

Question 11

Do you support projects after launch?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and for us that is the normal arrangement. We handle servers, updates, backups and monitoring. If something is wrong, we usually know before you notice. You can cancel the operations service monthly. You can also choose to host everything yourself, in which case we provide a full handover. Both options are fine.

How does communication work during a project?

Accepted Answer

You have the same two contacts throughout. No ticket system, no constantly changing project office.

During development, you receive a short weekly update on what is complete and what comes next. You can also reach us by phone (+49 175 7445273). For urgent cases, we agree in advance what counts as urgent and how quickly we will respond.

Which technologies do you use?

Accepted Answer

Proven ones, not exotic ones. We choose technologies so that, in five years, you can still find someone who knows how to work with them, even if that person is no longer us.

If you want the technical details, we are happy to explain them in a conversation. But when deciding whether we are a good fit, it is the least important question on this page.
